Well hello there stranger!

So that was a bit of a gap in between posts wasn't it? It's just as well this blog lives in cyber space otherwise it would be covered in some serious dust!

There has been a LOT happening in the world of Rosie and Radish over the last few months. I thought it might be helpful to do a speedy little recap ;) Right, deep breath and here we go...

A zillion new card ideas that have resulted in 2 brand new ranges and expansions on the existing Numbers, Scribbles and Daydreamer ranges.

One new flat for Amy Clarke, complete with a gorgeous new studio room and the biggest iMac I have ever laid eyes on.

Lots of excitement, planning and only a teeny bit of panicking about our first time exhibiting at Top Drawer (5 weeks to go eeeek!)

We hit the local press! Even our little crocheted mascot got in on the action.

I (Helen) have completed part A of the Lilla Rogers ''Make Art That Sells' course - an intense but amazing 5 week experience in which I found myself drawing peacocks, beetroots, giraffes, flowers and tortoises…random but extremely fun.

And, now we are officially in the festive month it is safe to reveal that we put a lot of thought into designing an official Rosie and Radish Christmas card that hopefully all of our lovely shops and friends will love.

So there's a quick summary of what we have been up to. Phew! Stay tuned for more shenanigans from Rosie and Radish HQ very soon ;)

Rosie & Radish VIDEO: Helen Drawing Rosie

Radish's first venture into the world of film went very well but Rosie felt a little bit left out so, you guessed it, here's Rosie's debut ;)

VIDEO: Radish the Filmstar

Well, it's been one of those days where you randomly decide to learn something new…(does anybody else have those? Just me? Ok.)

So my new skill for the day - film director and cameraman! After watching a zillion youtube videos of live drawing I decided to give it a little go myself.

So here it is, my first ever video!

It would be great to hear what you think. I have to admit it was really fun to do so who knows this could be the start of something…

Sketchy Sneaky Peek!

With the sales of our current ranges going well, and with repeat orders coming in, we thought it was about time to do what we do best - brainstorming and coming up with lots of ideas for some new ranges!

We are super chuffed with what we have come up and are delighted to tell you all that we will be showcasing our new ranges and Top Drawer Spring/Summer in January 2015 at Olympia!

Our stand is all booked, so now it is full steam ahead to get our new cards up to scratch for the New Year. Our focus is on lovely illustrations, quirky handwritten typography, beautiful card stock and a whole lot of fun! We can't wait to show you what we've come up with, but for now you'll have to make do with a sneaky peek of some photos from around the studio ...

Home & Gift Harrogate 2014

There is nothing me and Helen like more than a Rosie and Radish road trip, especially when the sun is shining, the cheesy tunes are playing and our destination is the Home & Gift trade show in the beautiful North Yorkshire town of Harrogate.

Yesterday was our first visit to Home & Gift. We wanted to not only check out the lovely cards and stationery on show, but also to see whether it was a trade show we would like to exhibit at next year. Location-wise it is perfect for us. Only one and a half hours from Newcastle, it is a leisurely drive down and a far cry from the stressful London-bound mission we had earlier this year to get to PG Live. It already had a massive brownie point from us before we even got there.

And what a lovely day we had! It was great to see so many familiar faces from PG Live and The Ladder Club and we took our time wandering around the show and chatting to everyone. It was particularly lovely to finally meet Lynn Tait of The Lynn Tait Gallery and founder of the Ladder Club who we didn't manage to see at PG Live. She really did take a shine to Radish!

There was a lovely atmosphere at the show and it really made us wish we had a stand there ourselves. It is definitely one to consider for next year. Feeling inspired, we headed off for some lunch and a brainstorming session ...

Before it all got a bit too much for Radish and we had to head home. That mouse has no stamina.

Happy 1st Birthday to us!

We can't believe it was a year ago since we decided to set up shop together ... but 365 days, lots of hard work and a trade show later here we are celebrating our first year in business! Yippee!

And what better way to celebrate than with a trip to the seaside ...

A great day out was had by all! Thank you for all your support over the past year Rosie and Radish fans ... here's to the next 365 days!

Lots of birthday love from Amy & Helen Xx

Introducing...Amanda Artworks

Well, all work and no play would make Rosie & Radish a very dull duo and this was our mantra for Progressive Greetings Live this year. We loved the social side of the show and met some truly inspiring and lovely greeting card folk!

We were very lucky to have the delightful Amanda Hemmer on the stand next door to ours. Amanda creates cards from her original artworks which are inspired by vintage films and Latin Culture. Her cards and prints are beautifully vibrant, a riot of colour and texture (seriously the pictures don't do them justice).

Super stylish pair: Amanda and her other half - the charming John!

Wooly Blue

We were chuffed to bits when one of our favourite North East gift shops, Wooly Blue, contacted us to buy some of our cards. The lovely Karen from Wooly Blue in Jesmond, took over the shop at the end of last year and has been a busy bee buying new stock and getting the shop looking tip top!

Wooly Blue is part of a lovely strip of shops on Brentwood Avenue in Jesmond, Newcastle upon Tyne.

Our cards now sit pride of place in a newly opened back room of the shop which is dedicated to children.

Our little Clever Clogs has also managed to find his way into the Congratulations section of the shop ...

And Together Forever is right at home nestled amongst the lovey dovey wedding cards!

The shop has a wonderful selection of cards (aside from ours!) and is full of goodies and gifts for people of all ages. Here are a few of our favourite finds ...

We love these typography inspired bags from Alphabet Bags

These pencil cases from Caroline Gardner will definitely brighten your day.

They are bright, colourful and gorgeously soft. These blankets from Avoco are right up our street!

We LOVE Newcastle!

And we also love the greeting cards from Lynda loves especially this one ...

If you live near Jesmond get yourself along to Wooly Blue to check out their wonderful cards and gifts.  The super friendly staff will look after you and with so many lovely things to buy we're sure you won't leave empty handed!

Love Amy Xx
