What a difference a year makes ...

Rosie and Radish have officially had the busiest year to date. Not only in sales but also behind the scenes.

Between us in the past 12 months we have ... had a wedding, been on honeymoon, moved house, had a baby, had a first birthday party, successfully pitched to Not On The High Street, illustrated 2 children's books, designed a new card range, fulfilled lots of orders, panicked that there were not enough hours in the day and had very little sleep. It has been rather hectic to say the least. But we have survived, and Rosie and Radish is now run by two very sleep deprived mums!

We are both very proud of our little business and hope that amongst the chaos that the next twelve months will bring we will continue to grow and create lots of lovely new cards to make you smile :-)

In the meantime you will have to excuse the matchsticks in our eyes and a few baby brain moments!

A Top Time At Top Drawer...

It took months of planning, 2 days to set up but after 3 days of trade show craziness, Top Drawer Spring was all over.

Well, what can I say about Rosie & Radish's first Top Drawer experience?! It was hectic, exhausting and so much fun. We loved it!

Freezing at a ridiculously early hour at Central Station!

Despite a very early start at the freezing cold Central Station in Newcastle, we arrived at the London Olympia full of beans and couldn't wait to put our grand plan for our 3m x 1m stand in action.  Even a ripped leather jacket, paint splattered brogues and 2 emergency trips to a paint and DIY shop couldn't keep us down and soon our little stand started to take shape…

A casualty of the show - Helen's beloved leather jacket didn't make it back home in one piece :(

The spirit level was put to good use!

Even though we are relative newcomers to the greetings industry, we are still taken aback by how friendly everyone is and we were very lucky to be placed in the middle of some super talented and lovely folk. There was Yasmin from YTR Designs, Jessica Hogarth, Dandelion, Lucky Lychee, Noi Publishing and Kimono Rabbit.

An arty panoramic shot to show our stand.

First day of the actual show - very excited!
Once the doors opened it, the hours flew by and it was brilliant to meet lots of new stockists aswell as catching up with existing stockists and familiar faces. Our new ranges 'Loud Mouse' and 'Scruff' went down a storm and the 'Daydreamer Numbers' and new additions to the 'Scribbles' range proved popular too. Here's the bestsellers...

If you didn't make it to the show but would like a copy of our new catalogue then just get in touch and we will post one out so you don't miss out ;)

2 days to put up and 2 mints to take down.

It was all too much for little Radish - he slept all they way back to Newcastle!

Sketchy Sneaky Peek!

With the sales of our current ranges going well, and with repeat orders coming in, we thought it was about time to do what we do best - brainstorming and coming up with lots of ideas for some new ranges!

We are super chuffed with what we have come up and are delighted to tell you all that we will be showcasing our new ranges and Top Drawer Spring/Summer in January 2015 at Olympia!

Our stand is all booked, so now it is full steam ahead to get our new cards up to scratch for the New Year. Our focus is on lovely illustrations, quirky handwritten typography, beautiful card stock and a whole lot of fun! We can't wait to show you what we've come up with, but for now you'll have to make do with a sneaky peek of some photos from around the studio ...

Home & Gift Harrogate 2014

There is nothing me and Helen like more than a Rosie and Radish road trip, especially when the sun is shining, the cheesy tunes are playing and our destination is the Home & Gift trade show in the beautiful North Yorkshire town of Harrogate.

Yesterday was our first visit to Home & Gift. We wanted to not only check out the lovely cards and stationery on show, but also to see whether it was a trade show we would like to exhibit at next year. Location-wise it is perfect for us. Only one and a half hours from Newcastle, it is a leisurely drive down and a far cry from the stressful London-bound mission we had earlier this year to get to PG Live. It already had a massive brownie point from us before we even got there.

And what a lovely day we had! It was great to see so many familiar faces from PG Live and The Ladder Club and we took our time wandering around the show and chatting to everyone. It was particularly lovely to finally meet Lynn Tait of The Lynn Tait Gallery and founder of the Ladder Club who we didn't manage to see at PG Live. She really did take a shine to Radish!

There was a lovely atmosphere at the show and it really made us wish we had a stand there ourselves. It is definitely one to consider for next year. Feeling inspired, we headed off for some lunch and a brainstorming session ...

Before it all got a bit too much for Radish and we had to head home. That mouse has no stamina.

Happy 1st Birthday to us!

We can't believe it was a year ago since we decided to set up shop together ... but 365 days, lots of hard work and a trade show later here we are celebrating our first year in business! Yippee!

And what better way to celebrate than with a trip to the seaside ...

A great day out was had by all! Thank you for all your support over the past year Rosie and Radish fans ... here's to the next 365 days!

Lots of birthday love from Amy & Helen Xx
